    I’m glad to have clients, who have the courage to introduce this new form of learning. And who put their trust in me to develop unique a simulation. And then it’s fantastic to see what it does right away for individual participants, teams and organizations.
    Putting myself in the client’s shoes and recreating that world, where the change, acceleration or intensification has to take place, that is what drives me.
    Supported by today’s state of the art techniques; to challenge individuals and teams to show their best side, in both behaviour and content; A safe and exciting environment, where various situations can be tried out with a large degree of openness; Working towards usable results by relating closely to your business; Making sure that this unique learning experience does not stand alone, but is part of a bigger plan.

    As an actor I love playing roles in the serious games. Whether I’m in the role of surgeon or prison-warden I make it my goal to provide believable situations for the participants to demonstrate and practice their competences. I have a background in both acting and Civil-Engineering and Serious Gaming is an exciting platform where I get to use both my acting-based sensitivity and imagination and also my more rational mindset to analyze and provide participants with accurate and useful feedback. I enjoy the challenge of finding the right words to express whether somebody’s behavior and communication have been effective. Having grown up in Malawi and Zimbabwe I particularly enjoy working in international and English speaking settings.

    The reason I like to work with 4 Challenge is primarily because the founders, Margaret Uyterlinde and Casper Scheffer, are engaging people. It is always a pleasure to work with them. Equally important is the professionalism in which they do their work: they know what they are doing, know what they are talking about, know what works in the world of games and what not. Third, I believe in the power of games: it usually takes no more than 10 minutes before participants forget that they are in a game and immerse in their roles. During the debriefing of the game I like to explore the parallels I have seen with real life and I discuss how the lessons learned from the game can be used in daily working patterns. This is always a very valuable learning experience. About me: I am an organizational psychologist and have over 25 years experience as a (team) coach, trainer and consultant. I am author of the book: "Working together: the essence. Create connection with insight into 12 psychological needs. "

    As a senior assessment psychologist and personal coach I joined 4Challenge Simulations as an associate partner. You can meet me during the development of a simulation game or at the end when in depth conversations take place. The games we develop and organize at 4Challenge result every time in a winning situation for both the individual participant and the customer as a whole. For me, that is the reason to play an active role in this network.

    I have learned to know 4Challenge at the WPM team leadership (medical manager and head nursing) of the AMC. The guide to the design of the leadership program was the 70-20-10 rule. Leadership is learned in practice. A very successful way to wrest with that practice and develop yourself and your team was the leadership simulation. The participants always appreciate the simulation very much. It is a dynamic setting, where the daily or future work situation is smartly imitated.

    This setting offers the opportunity to experiment with own behavior and get immediate feedback about the impact of their behavior.
    Since 2012 I have been working with all kinds of leadership programs and (developing) assessments in and outside the Netherlands with great fun together with 4Challenge.

    I am convinced that training can be more fun. 4Challenge is offering that. They add something special to it: a challenge. I like that. Challenging people in taking risks, invite them to step out of their comfort zone to experiment with new behaviors and collaborate in teams. For me as a senior trainer, contribute to the serious gaming of 4Challenge, is really adding something extra to my job. It gives me the opportunity to put my full experience as a trainer into practice. It is so much fun to get to know organizations better and to provide solutions to their learning needs. During the simulation games I operate as an observer or team coach and I provide participants with relevant feedback. In the same simulations you might meet me in the role of an employee, manager or customer. You might even see me in a training course after the simulation game.

    The past years I have been active as an actor on stage and television and also as a co-scenarist in the writing of TV series. You may have seen me. On TV or on stage. You may have heard me quite loudly, I'm also trumpeter. And training and assessment have been added now.

    And the games .... the games. I'm playing with you in that. I challenge you from the context of the game. Or do you play with me? At least we can not miss each other. Whether you are a director, researcher or sales rep, we meet each other.
    The fun and challenging thing for me is that I`m both a partner in crime and a participant in the serious games of 4Challenge. And that`s unique.

    For 25 years I work as an actor in training and simulations. Participating in the serious games of 4Challenge is a pleasure. These games are aimed at tempting the participants to experience the game as their true daily practice. They get the most out of reality by simulating the reality. Dilemmas, unexpected twists, e-mails, video messages, logos, people, locations, incidents, etc. origin from the real world of the participants. The goal of the game can vary widely. I get well prepared for the goal and setting of the game.

    Then I get into action.
    Often participants have met me through messages in their email box or via a video. I can play a customer, a colleague or their new boss and enter the conversation. Afterwards, they will discover the impact of contact with me through the online environment. Due to the total number of actions during the day, my role is taken very seriously. That makes playing easier since the participant feels like he/she is in a real conversation to. They usually have to seduce, convince, correct, encourage me to do something. Although the games and the actors are verry well prepared, the 4Challenge also reacts on what's happening throughout the day. An incident is being added on the spot and I am told by a message on my phone to adapt my role. That gives me a lot of energy and pleasure for myself and the participants.
